September 21 - February 3, 2019
Reception: September 20th | 8:30 pm
Guillermo Sroek-Hart’s work has been included in a group show at Es Baluard that analyses the evolution of the relationship of humans and non-human animals through a series of contemporary art projects and benchmark historical works.
The curatorial thesis of «Ellos y nosotros (Them and Us)» presents the symbiotic and simultaneously contradictory relationship between the animal world and human societies, reviewing social changes, legislation, documentation, aesthetical trends, image and communication, lines of thought, documentaries and iconography.
Es Baluard is a museum of modern and contemporary art and one of most important of its kind in Spain. Located in Palma and inaugurated in 2004, this great museum of the Balearic Islands has a collection of over 700 modern and contemporary artworks by artists either from the Islands and/or of international renown. Es Baluard is a catalyst and a vehicle for history, contemporary trends and education.
