A note to jdc Fine Art gallery artists and patrons:
These times will require something extraordinary from all of us. The words of Theodore Roosevelt come to mind:
“Do what you can, with what you have,
where you are.”
To maintain our solace and yours, jdc Fine Art gallery will continue to operate as a site for art virtually and physically. Out of consideration for a community hungry for safe interactions and discoveries, we have and will continue to adapt our programming. We have bolstered our online viewership experience for all Patrons. Locally, we hope to be a safe space for community engagement; we are creating enhanced window displays, exhibiting large prints, and launching a video initiative, “Through the Glass” early. All these experiences are designed to be enjoyed from outside the gallery space. Whether the Gallery be open or closed, we’ll leave the light on for you. We hope these small gestures will offer comfort to local residents at this difficult time.
As always, we are happy to communicate by e-mail or phone. In this time we will also welcome viewings and discussions (by phone) through the window panes by appointment. We have an abundance of windows and are located in an open-air setting, thus we can safely present works inside the Gallery in full view of Patrons outside the Gallery. Unless otherwise instructed by officials, we will keep some gallery hours and work solitarily in our space to serve our community. We hope as always to be a cultural oasis for Patrons, especially the elders in our immediate community with little access to interactive activities or safe walking passages.
Stay well, and remember: we’re always at your fingertips and would love to have your news.
