jdc Fine Art is pleased to announce appointment as primary US representative for the contemporary artist Luis González Palma. We celebrate the debut of this direct relationship with a survey of favorites followed by inclusion in our exhibition at AIPAD in NYC.
Luis González Palma has employed traditional and unique methods to study the gaze, the nature of humanity, and existence. This investigation has unfolded through specific, collective, and universal contexts. González Palma’s choice of material is various and deliberate. Most celebrated for his early work in photography, González Palma’s new work is ever more expansive, responsive, and theoretical.
The gallery has offered the work of the Latin American artist since it first opened in 2011. González Palma’s artwork was the subject of a solo show Anonimo Heroes & Performers in 2013 and has been included in numerous group exhibitions with jdc Fine Art since. This deeper alliance as primary dealer marks a strong commitment between the two.
This fall (2024) the gallery will feature a special selection of favorites leading up to the foremost US photography fair, The Photo Show Presented by AIPAD, held in New York this spring (2025). The recommended works from existing inventory will be shared online in advance. Follow the “Recommended” section of our website and social media for more. The curated selection of works will highlight early icons and recent gems now available through the gallery. This review will culminate with presentation of new and recent works at AIPAD.
Beyond traditional promotion and sales, jdc Fine Art is seeking new outlets of research, access, and collaboration to bring the artist’s work to the broadest audience possible. jdc Fine Art is conducting a survey of museum collections to catalog what objects are available for public enjoyment. We are available to support research inquiries and requests for exhibition loans. The gallery is also working together with other US galleries to expand reach and present exhibitions. The gallery is accepting consideration of such special projects as forward-thinking commissions and public works.
