Art comes alive when you share it; we were proud to share the works in our personal collection with the San Diego Museum of Art's Gallery Collective. The Gallery Collective offers members special VIP access to Museum events and is a passport to happenings outside the box and in the greater San Diego Arts community.
This is the third event we have hosted with SDMA, but is the first with them in our home. Developing patrons had the chance to see works by such notable established artists as Robert Rauschenberg, Luis Gonzalez Palma, Dawoud Bey, Alec Soth, and Tatiana Parcero, as well as other more emerging contemporaries, like Matt Eich, Guillermo Srodek-Hart, Jennifer Greenburg, and Paul Turounet. We were happy to share the who and what behind the work, but also spent time focusing on the how. How works become part of a collection. We aimed to reveal strategies behind making acquisitions, and starting a collection.
